Anthony Weiner is being attacked by the right wing because he’s an effective voice for the Democratic Party — and especially because he’s calling on Clarence Thomas to recuse himself from voting on health care.

This stuff doesn’t happen in a vacuum.

Which Thomas will not do, nor should he. He’s not required to recuse himself because of where his wife worked and he never lied about it. Weiner is trying to get rid of a conservative vote that is sure to go against Obamacare. Not that I blame him, since if the sides were reversed I’d do the same thing.
