Well, it’s like steve alluded to - all of this is spectator sport, ALL of it. Especially right now. The election is more than a year away — this time in 2007 if you’d have told me Barack Obama would be president I would still be laughing at you.

OK, this I’m updinging and I suggest everyone else do the same. This post is exactly correct about the nature of election coverage. The honesty and biases of the media outlets vary, but they all want to play up the ‘contest’ aspects of the election, because that’s how they gain money and visibility.
