look, i understand there’s undoubtedly some endemic racism built into the military hierarchy, but West Point kids are the absolutely best fucking kids in the country. It is a complete meritocracy. You want to go to West Point or the Naval Academy? Make straight A’s in school. Do a shit ton of extracurricular stuff, to the point where your freaking senator is willing to write a letter of recommendation on your behalf. I am just remarkably skeptical that after having survived background checks, personal entrance interviews, and the esprits d’corps of the best officer training school in the world, the place is actually infested with a bunch of white supremacist crackers.

1. So your contention is that the screening process is sufficient to remove racists, but porous enough to allow individuals who would engage in juvenile punching games on national television through.

2. Many elite universities also require straight As, heavy/exemplary extra curricular activities and solid recommendations. Am I to assume that means any graduate of these institutions is also free of racism?

3. Something around half of our US Senators are racist crackers. Their endorsement means little.
