That’s why I dont’ do stuff like that. I watched and read a lot of the left wing blogosphere the past 8 years or so, and was impressed by the sensible decorum, fair-minded discussions, and the tremendous respect they showed for the president and his wife. They set an example that we should all aspire to.

I’ve always been kind of sympathetic to first ladies. I say ladies since we have yet to elect a woman as POTUS. They’re sort of cast into the spotlight. You can’t really gauge the ideology of a spouse in the end. Hillary was the first to push that envelope with me but she did back off from the Evitaisms in the end.

More or less. My favorite to date is Laura Bush. I really liked Betty Ford and Nancy Reagan. I even think that Rosalynn Carter has much to admire. Imagine having a husband like Jimmy?
