I don’t miss them either and I’m glad that dynamic is gone. We can say ‘liberal’ here now and not have it be a pejorative or badge of honor unless you make it so.

Now if we can get back to a time when ‘conservative’ is not a pejorative then maybe I can call myself one, otherwise I’ll have to think of something else. All the other good labels are taken.

I used to consider myself a “conservative”, until the racists, bigots, and nuts gave it a bad name…I prefer “moderate” nowadays.
