I actually do not trust cops at all, especially living in Manila for so long. I think it’d be very safe to assume that they are either looking for ways to garnish their gratuitously low salaries or are just in it for the sadistic kicks.

Cost of bribes in Manila to traffic police for the 4 times I was stopped: 2000 pesos

Cost of Pinoy drivers license: 600 pesos

Never bought the license and saved myself 600 pesos. heh.
