FWIW - the longer Gaza and the West Bank are governed separately the sooner many of the issues of a “single state cut in half” go away. best case outcome in the next 20 years is that the west bank makes a deal and lives with Israel while Gaza becomes the sole grievance outpost and the same invective aimed at Israel continues (at the same levels from the same parties worldwide). But at least Israel has one group to focus on instead of two (leaving Hezbollah aside for the moment).
