It’s all about the ratings, and of course, ratings = $$$. If they were report, “And in 2016 Election news, Donald Trump continues to have a snowball’s chance in hell of getting elected as President, and political analysts of all stripes are predicting a debacle for the GOP this November”, well…..no one’s really going to be interested in watching. Thus, the horse-race narrative.

The fact that Trump got as far as he did is in no small part due to the media’s fascination with him.

But I am glad to see that they are coming to realize that Trump is ratings gold regardless of whether they are raking him over the coals or fawning at his feet.
