Look at it more as energy that has been banked. You’ll only get out what you put in (rather like a modern no interest savings account) but you can withdraw it at anytime with a very quick application of payment :)

Things in orbit are in a known, visible, difficult to move, unprotected place. Do you think that’s a good place to put your weapons?
