Your correct… I think it’s the newness of the snow, on the old of the European cities.

Yup- and there is a certain pathos, too.

In the poorer European neighborhoods, winter is bleak. Lines for buses, lines at shops, lines everywhere and everyone seems to be cold no matter how well bundled up.

And the kids are oblivious to it all a few years less.
