Can you fashion a removable insulating jacket from duct tape and a 2”x8’x4’ sheet of styrofoam from a big box store? Should cost around $10, 30 min labor.

Heat is only one of the issues. I can keep the tank about 70 deg F (I think) which is ok for most of the animals. It’s water circulation for the corals. I have some small polyp stony and large polyp stony corals that get upset when they don’t get their flesh agitated (ok, that didn’t come out quite right) It all depends on the length of time. I will give PEPCO some props (it kinda hurts, though) they are improving their reliability at the expense of the area arboreal canopy.
