The gun nuts are out in force tonight. There’s a major push-back effort against the heckling story — obviously they understand how bad it makes them look.

Sort of touched on this in the previous thread, but what’s becoming apparent is that to a lot of people, guns are clearly more important than children in their world. What make this even more fucked up is that many of these people are actually parents.

To these people, Sandy Hook is a “you can’t make an omelette without breaking a few eggs” type of situation. Sandy Hook is acceptable losses. And for the most part, every discussion around guns gets morphed into “The scary black man wants my personal arsenal.”

I have to agree with many other LGF readers in that these people are spoiling for a fight. They wan their Ruby Ridge, their Bushmaster-powered Shays Rebellion. Egged on by the GOP, Fox News, Limbaugh, and their own pathetic paranoia, it’s a matter of time before these fuckwits provoke a fire fight with some government organization.

We keep going down the path we’re going, these horrible excuses for Americans are going to get more dead children and cops for their twisted little “war” on guns. Hopefully, we can manage to stay out of the crossfire
