Well, there’s a reason Snowden, Poitras and Greenwald are all out of the country now—it makes any legal action against them by the US very, very complicated.

Travel for any of them may be out of the question, and staying in place may not be as safe as they imagine, depending on which country in which they choose to live. They have, in essence, become persona non grata, esp in the US and UK, and depending upon which country they choose in which to travel and live. There’s virtually nothing in international law which either protects or prosecutes them as non-diplomatic actors.
