It’s usually a mistake to use the “died for nothing”/hopeless-type stuff in conversation with a soldier you don’t know well. Even if they share your politics it will often lead to an encounter like the one in the video.

And that is not the issue. He is a reporter. He is supposed to ask the tough questions.

The issue now is people attacking him as a troop basher.
I have a feeling Tapper will be just fine, so I would not be too concerned.
