They note Cook Political Report moves five Senate races. Six regular senate races are now listed as toss-up (the Georgia special senate election is listed as Leans Republican).

Now the point is to run up the score. Toss up states now are:

FL, GA, NC, ME-2, OH, NE-2, AZ. If the election were held exactly by the chart, the GOP has no path to victory.

Meanwhile, over at EC, the fact that FL is now listed as “Solidly Dem” pretty much spells doom for Trump if the polls hold through to Election Day.

I get the folks who are saying “Play as if you’re (x) points behind,” but at some point you have to acknowledge that there’s no real way for the other team to get back into the game. We’re well past half-time in this game and coming up on the 2 minute warning (conventions). And there’s just not a lot of opportunities left for Trump to turn this around in his favor. Either there has to be something massively disqualifying about Biden turn up, the DNC turns out to be a total shitshow, or some major turnaround in the way the WH is handling matters for him to close the gap that is widening with every fuck up and brain dropping.
