The other difference at least for some was that BDS didn’t take place until after we discovered all the scary stuff he was letting Cheney and Rumsfeld get away with.

I didn’t really start getting pissed off and angry until after I started learning more about the shenanigans pulled to justify the Iraq War, the warrantless wire taps, and the torture.

I never thought he was the brightest bulb in the box, but I think a lot of us center left types were willing to give him the benefit of the doubt until he started really doing stupid stupid shit.
