Hell, I’m probably more to the left than most people around here (to the point where I’m not sure whether I should label myself as a Social Democrat or an honest-to-god Socialist), but few people infuriate me as much as dogmatic, virulently anti-american leftists - precisely because they’re, in a way, “on my side”.Likewise: Just remind yourself that the current director of Americans United for Separation of Church and State is a Christian minister.
That organization was founded as “Protestants and Other Americans United for…” It was a Kennedy-era effort to assure tax dollars didn’t flow to Catholic parochial schools.
