First application down. Got in touch with a friend of mine at a tech company here in Austin (yes you’ve heard of them, no I won’t say who) that has a position open that fits my experience, interests, and education. She agreed to be a reference, so I quickly updated my resume and sent it in.

I’ll send out more as I start figuring out what my next move will be. But I’ve taken one of the longest shots today.

Maybe I’m overreacting by starting to look for work so quickly after my co-worker got fired, but the idea of ending up the only person here skeeves me out.
