Those folk are just out to lunch. They are in denial of what is going on around them.

It is far too late for that now. The GOP is stuck with Trump. The only thing they can do now is hope and pray that he doesn’t take the Senate with him as his candidacy goes down in flames. IIRC, the GOP has acknowledged that they may well lose the Senate this election cycle, and I’m sure that for Reince and the rest of the RNC, their worst nightmare is starting to look like it’s about to become reality.
