I saw something yesterday that made me shake my head in sheer wonderment. One of the West Virginians interviewed for a “They Voted For Trump, Now They’re Fucked” article was a laid-off coal miner. He wasn’t worried about what Trump was gonna do to the ACA, because he figured Trump would get him his job in the mines back and he’d have good benefits.

I really don’t know what to say to that kind of thinking.

And that former coal miner walks with a cane and has several serious health conditions (including diabetes and high blood pressure).
There is no way he would ever be hired to work in a coal mine ever again, even if those jobs came back (which they aren’t).
