Unfortunately, in this case, the wolves have become habituated to the lefties who raise them in captivity before they release them. They really prefer cows, sheep, dogs, and the occasional horse. The best counter strategy seems to be large ranch dogs who will cross-breed with the wolves. The lefties seek out and kill those litters.

Tehre are some excellent dog breeds who take on wolves - some Turkish ones, and the Maremma sheepdog.
Not cuddly - but wolves don’t mess with them or their flocks …
