LGF has been a little wonky for me this morning, posting and trying to get new comments and all.
Fox News has a big deal partner on now from the Law Firm of White & Case - a HUGE, OLD line law firm which is representing some of Chrysler’s bondholders and other creditiors. He was invited on because he too said that some bondholders were receiving threatening calls from the WH. So after being introduced and stating he was the “Global Partner” for all the creditors of Chrysler, he was asked if it was true that some bondholders were receiving death threats. He said “I can’t answer that”; when asked about his original statement about WH pressure on the bondholders he said “I can’t answer that” and so on and so forth.
Death threats? For refusing to subordinate your personal debt from Chrysler to the government? Mind you this is America’s prototypical “Corporate Lawyer” and frankly he looked scared - I wondered what the hell he was doing on Fox when I realized well, big law firm or not, methinks he just wanted to advertise the fact that His Law Firm (probably around 1,000 lawyers) was doing this work and then brag about himself being the Global Partner (meaning the guy running all of the law firms representing bondholders).
But he steadfastly refused to answer questions about WH threats, murder threats on himself and his family as well as on bondholders etc.
This damn class warfare crap had best stop NOW - most “bondholders” are retired folks or Pension Funds not the “feelthy rich” and at some point folks with more guts than this idiot are gonna resist.
