Even when presented with the fact that the county will probably have well over $75 in cleanup costs and destruction to things like power and phone lines, as well as electric and gas meters.

But hey we proved a point: public servants serve us best when they robotically follow rules rather than using some basic creativity to solve a problem. Putting out the fire and then sending the family a bill would have been so tragic for the cause of libertarianism.
