I’m seeing a small but definite trend away from Trump and the GOP among the .1%ers. Most, of course, are still on board. The grifter class, narrow portfolio types like oil and oil industry service, chain retail and food service, developers, health care profiteers, etc. are delirious with joy at the tax cuts, the end of mandated health care, and the green light for environmental pillaging. However, the real movers and shakers, the billionaires and the super-brains who enable them, are not so sure at all. They are perfectly well aware that massive deficits and runaway inflation are in the offing, combined with a collapse in capital investment. The result will be disaster, as surely as night follows day. The grifters are basically fast money types, they want to get while the getting is good, with no thought to the likely future, when even a massively fat portfolio may not be protection enough from the inevitable upheaval.
