Take a box, put the phone in the bottom, fill the box with packing peanuts, tape the top flaps to the out side so the box is open top. Tape the box to the ceiling.

There was an episode of “The Office” where Jim did something similar to Andy’s phone, except he put the phone inside the ceiling, by moving one of the suspended panels. Andy went so ballistic, he ended up in mandatory anger management classes for the rest of the season.
