OK, here’s a model of the proposed Eisenhower Memorial.

Architect is Frank Gehry or Gehry Partners, LLP.

Start complaining now because I know architectural designs of this sort always leads to a lot of genuflecting.

Glad they’re doing this.

I cringed when I first heard the architect was Frank Gehry. He’s known for buildings like this. And this. Kinda cool, but maybe not really appropriate for an Eisenhower memorial.

But the actual design is pretty good, with some of Gehry’s characteristic flair, but still subdued and respectful for a war hero/president.
