I’m sure it did.

This was in the 70s and I’m sure things have changed a lot since then, but I think the general principle is the same. Fostering and adoption is a blessing unless there’s clear abuse of the kids which I don’t think is usual. Not unheard of, of course.

It’s actually quite often in the news.

This is just a sampling from physical and sexual abuse (and murder) in foster care, not counting adoption and residential care.

Yet the Bachmanns, AFA, FRC, and the bigots who throw them money will tell you gay parents abuse children so it should be outlawed. /eyeroll
