Probably would be in Gary Johnson territory now. Cain’s rise is perplexing as hell. Never seen a guy with so little understanding of government rise so high in a presidential primary.

It’s the same GOP ignorance that got Sarah Palin on McCain’s ticket in 2008.

Hillary Clinton lost the nomination, so the GOP looked for a photogenic Republican woman as a generic substitute, figuring that any woman would do to pull in support. With Cain, someone on the right figured that any black guy would do to run against Obama.

It’s that lack of understanding that will doom the GOP into completely alienating women and minorities and being a regional white party.
