She probably will do time. Killing the guy is fine but cutting off his head after is where she’ll run into problems.

Honestly though, its what she had to do to prevent the sort of hostile talk that leads to an “honor killing”. The point of her actions was not only to kill her rapist, but to do so in such a way as to deter hostile talk. As has been shown many times in history, the best way to accomplish that goal is to kill the malefactor publicly and brutally, in order to clearly show that you are not to be trifled with.

If this had happened in the US, I’d call her chasing her rapist down murder, but given the nature of the society she is in I instead call it self-defense.
