Nazi-themed opera production canceled in Germany

I am really torn on this. Is this glorifying Nazism? If not, why would this be canceled? How many survivors of the Holocaust remain? Why would you not want this for, well, forever? Fifty years from now, no one who was a part of WWII will be alive. Will this go down the rabbit hole of denial a la David Irving?

I realize that Germany has a different perspective, for it originated in their homeland. But not reminding humanity of our darkest capabilities does what exactly?
