It’s a shame, but sometimes things have to get personal before some are able to see the real people behind their “purity,” and it seems that Christie, Peter King, and some other republicans just had an epiphany about this. They’ve blindly carried water for the GOP for so long that they had begun to think that the pettiness, lack of empathy, and selfish behavior didn’t apply to them and their constituents, but as of yesterday, their eyes have been opened to the fact that with some republicans, there are no exceptions. Just as republicans in Congress have denied millions of Americans’ cries for assistance with finding employment and saving their homes since 2008, some republican lawmakers in Congress are getting a taste of what they’ve been doing to other Americans.
