Great read in Boston Magazine about my State Senator Linda Dorcena Forry. Linda upset the status-quo when she won the First Suffolk District which had long been held by white, Irish-American men from South Boston. Linda is a black Haitian-American woman from Dorchester.
The article focuses on the St. Patricks Day breakfast, which is a highly politicized event that is typical emceed by the state senator from the First Suffolk district.
Forry, Linehan and Collins were all to speak at the same event, and Forry made sure to address the issue afterwards, in the street:
