Those 50s illustrations were cliches of idealized Americans of the time. So yeah, inbred by the artist’s thinking to capture what Americans saw as the ideal Mom, Dad, Buddy and Sis and their kitty cat and doggy. Everyone was happily married and cozy in their nuclear home.
