re: #147 Hecuba’s daughter

At least the Senate isn’t subject to gerrymandering. And many of the problems have arisen because of voter disenfranchisement or suppression. We just have to make sure that people are able to vote.

What’s going on with the Florida effort to overturn the results of the referendum that restores voting rights?

The Senate comes pre-gerrymandered, thanks to the Wisdom Of The Founders (tm).

By 2030, it’s estimated half the nation’s population will be in 15 states. The other half will be in the other 35.

The best way to move liberals to those sparsely populated states would be extensive national investment in broadband and regional airports; there’s a whole lot of wealthy young San Franciscans and New Yorkers who, noticing that a 4000 square foot house on 5 acres with a creek in some midwestern state costs less than an 800-square foot apartment in the big city… when they reach marriage/reproduction age, if they could work on-line and commute a few times a month would be thrilled to have their families elsewhere.
