We often see the suggestion that “our” religious extremists are better than “their” religious extremists because the latter haven’t expressed as much violence, lately. However, if you pay much attention to those who, for example, think the “Left Behind” books are a form of prophesy you will see that there is in fact not much difference, except that in our society these are still a minority, whereas in Islam it is debatable whether they really are or not.
It’s not a suggestion—it’s a fact. “Their” violent fringes are more numerous and more deadly than “ours”.
