Gadzooks. I hate cheap cologne. Not mine but having to smell other people that seem to swim in the stuff. I can smell my neighbors below me from outside my deck. I know when they’ve been in the elevator because it stinks like the stuff.

I don’t know the difference between cheap cologne and expensive cologne. Extremely rarely, I’ll catch a whiff of something and think, “DAMN that smells good! I’d like to snort that aroma for an extended period.” Mostly, though, it’s offensive.

There’s one perfume in particular that I really hate, and I wish I knew what it was called so that I could declare a fatwah against it. I don’t really know how to describe it, except to say that it’s slightly floral, but overwhelmingly “powdery”. It gives the distinct impression of being suffocated by an invisible cloud of talcum powder.
