Precisely. Even before the ethics charges were brought up, the GOP was looking to capitalize on the increasing number of accusations against him. He’s become an albatross that the party leadership wants gone, regardless of how valuable a vote he’s been up til now.

He’s in a safe district, the vote will be preserved.
