Hey, I’m not saying that I disagree with you; the RWNJs (who co-opted the Faulkner family on this, IMO) were never going to let Adegbile be confirmed (or, if he had been confirmed over their objections, they would have hounded him until he quit). In this case, the Dem “defectors” were more worried about their own skins in November’s election than whether Adegbile is actually the right person to run the Civil Rights division at Justice; they put the GOP over the top on this.

Mumia may be guilty as sin, but it’s ironic that one of the men working to give him a chance at a fair trial got railroaded himself.
