Not sure if it was in the same poll or not, but another poster (yesterday I believe) shared a Fox opinion poll. Paraphrased, it basically said that 24% of the public believes that the Fed Gov has its own money stash separate and outside of what they get from taxpayers. I know I have it worded wrong, but that’s the gist of it.
That was stunning as well as depressing. How does one fight that?
Hi Pianobuff!! What’s really depressing is that they’re not completely wrong, but just wrong about being partially right. The government has three main ways of generating revenue: taxation, selling securities like t-bills (think China for example), and printing money (but think inflation there).
Course’ - as we all know - they’ve got the “money stash” part completely wrong, since congresscritters spend it as fast as they can find it.
