A North Carolina man was arrested yesterday for threatening to kill President Barack Obama in a series of Twitter messages, one of which warned that, “Ima hit president Obama with that Lee Harvey Oswald swag,” The Smoking Gun has learned.

Democratic Delegate ‘Would Like to Kill’ Mitt Romney

New York delegate Julia Rodriguez told a reporter on camera that if she bumped into Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, she “would like to kill him,” leading the U.S. Secret Service to investigate the threat.

“We are aware of it and will take the appropriate follow-up,” George Ogilvie, spokesman for U.S. Secret Service, told ABC News in a statement Thursday.

Secret Service Investigating Death Threat Against President Obama

The U.S. Secret Service and Philadelphia police are investigating a threat that was made against President Barack Obama from a city pay phone, Fox-29 reported.

Special Agent in Charge Cindy Wofford confirmed Wednesday afternoon that the Secret Service is investigating a call that came in as a 9-1-1 call from a payphone on the 100 block of East Cumberland Street in the city’s Kensington section.

The Secret Service “takes every threat seriously,” Wofford said, adding that they “are working it” with the Philadelphia police.

It does need to be reported to police and secret service but posting contact information for her school is too much.
