What should I do if I see a coyote?

I hear you, but near a building like that, especially one with two places to pass under its veranda (one of which is covered stairs), you could end up close to a coyote without realizing it (I know that particular spot pretty well, so I’m describing things you can’t see in the photo). That photo gave me something of a fright.
