The Senate needs 60 votes for closure of the debate. In order to get that either they need a couple GOP votes, or they need Kennedy and Bird able to vote. Why do think there is such a todo about the Mass. selection process to finish Kennedy’s term.

They’d roll them both in on gurneys if they really wanted it.
