Well I kinda sort of got it.

Man is sole survivor of a battle, man must have run in order to survive, man is a coward, man must now prove, after being branded and his sword broken, that he isn’t.

Never seen the flick. But I do hope he uses the part from the hilt up to obtain better weapons.

What is that Michael Dougles film were a guy goes wacko and after each encounter, upgrades to a better weapon.
