People like Breitbart and Matt Drudge came to realize that if you just float a story out there enough, it will develop legs and get picked up and treated seriously by the mainstream media.

What disgusts me regarding BReitbart is how he’s been rewritten as this good natured pipe piper of conservatism. That man was a miserable motherfucker and while I did not wish him dead, the world of politics is much better without him in it.
