If I were a betting person, I’d place my bet on Trump backing out of the debates at the last minute. He’ll make some ridiculous demand that makes Joe tell him to pound sand. There will an endless twitter tantrum of how “Sleepy Joe” was intimidated by Trump’s debate prowess (or more accurately prowling) and chickened out.

It is still an amazing thing to me is that, during the 2016 primary season, Trump skipped one of the GOP debates, claiming - of course - it wasn’t FAIR!!, and held some kind of event that was supposed to bring in money for veterans.

Months later, David Farenthold starts inquiring with the Trump campaign about where the money went. It had gone nowhere. In a moment of obvious panic, they quickly donated it to the first veteran-related charity they could find.

What’s amazing to me is that these stories, which paint such a clear picture of Trump’s lack of caring about veterans, or indeed anyone but himself, never gain any footing with his followers.
