re: #217 CleverToad
Many fingers crossed for your son, and for you! Will be watching for updates with wincing sympathy.
My son had a burst appendix at age four — twelve days in hospital, two surgeries. Started throwing up Monday night, we took him to ER first thing Tuesday morning. (Didn’t know throwing up was a symptom of appendicitis or we’d’ve gone in Monday night) Surgery Tuesday afternoon; then had to do a mad dash to a different hospital 30 miles across town to see my mom on Wednesday morning, before she went under for a quad bypass. Kid had the second surgery a week later to fix an adhesion. It was a not good experience.
EDIT: Kid came out of it okay, mind you! Laparoscopic so only a few small holes, and he healed well once they fixed the adhesion. MY nerves took a beating, though.
All is good, they say he might have a virus.
