Since I brought it up, I looked. Heathkit it seems. Some show dual Heathkit, which would explain the octavia. Carefully cascaded fuzz into fuzz… Like using one as a boost or lead.
I always said a Fender was a Marshall short a few carefully arranged pedals.
And the West amps were like PA amps. Pure. Unadulterated. Headroom.
Like Fender Twins and Pro Reverbs, the point of breakup/distortion is death.
