Yes and Yes. I wouldn’t be at all surprised that Chinas’ long term goal, 100 years plus is to control SE Asia all the way to Singapore.

The only thing realistically stopping China at this time is US military technological superiority. Buy our debt, impoverish us, and that advantage is lost. China has sheer numbers the leaders don’t mind wasting.
