Isn’t it fascinating that Grant concluded his monumental autobiography with the end of the Civil War?
the corruption within the Grant admin let to the failure of the banking system which killed the western railroads badly needed for expantion…to drum up cash the railroads and Feds simply ignored most treaties in place with the Sioux and Cheyene…gave that land away to the railroads which was sold….ending any decent rez system for the Indians which ultimately led to their near total destruction….bankers wiped out the American Plains Tribes….
