This Indian Ocean quake was just a few miles north from the 2004 quake that resulted in the massive Tsunami. Several orders of magnitude less tho. 7.6 vs ~9.1

No, it was hundreds of miles away. The 2004 quake was off the coast of Indonesia (Sumatra, IIRC).
